BACKGROUND

5th and Final Tournament (2007) - Simply Stupendous!

A score of 62 (-12) was the winning total for The Tree Choppers, otherwise know as Janveaux Forest Products. The team consisted of Roly Ribout, Cory Lacelle, Wayne Chaput & Gaeten Asselin playing their first Mattawa Hospital Charity Golf Classic.

An unprecedented and spectacular day made the 5th Annual CEDA Reactor and Bondfield Construction Mattawa Hospital Charity Golf Classic a resounding hit once more. With Jeff Hutcheson and Scott Clark providing continuous entertainment during the FUNky Cruise right through the golf day and auction.

2003 - 2007

In 2007 over $63,000 was raised towards the Mattawa General Hospital building fund. Our total for the years 2003 -2007 has risen to over... $207,000!!!

History of Hospital

Located in the picturesque Northern Ontario Town of Mattawa, Hôpital Général Mattawa General Hospital was established by the Sisters of Charity in 1878. The Hospital is a bilingual, primary and secondary care facility servicing approximately 5000 residents of Mattawa and surrounding townships.

The existing hospital is a prefabricated temporary building constructed after a fire in 1966. Now, 40 years later, a replacement hospital has been approved by Ontario’s Ministry of Health and construction will begin this fall. The Mattawa General Hospital Charity Golf Classic was created to raise funds for the building and ongoing equipment needs of the hospital. Your sponsorship of the tournament will contribute to our mission of providing high quality accessible health care services to our district.
